Hailing from Long Beach, Ca., Allen has called the South home for the past two decades. A proud alumnus of the University of Alabama, the West Coast transplant has spent the past decade covering local and national news, entertainment and music. Allen is also the founder of BLKBham, a digital platform dedicated to telling the untold stories of Black residents living in Birmingham.
